Born in Milan in 1968, he studied guitar under the tuition of Maestro Mauro Storti , graduating from the "A. Boito" Conservatory in Parma.
Immediately after this he went on to study ancient performance techniques ( renaissance and baroque) following courses in lute -playing Maestro Andrea Damiani & Maestro Tiziano Bagnati and the ancient music ( Maestro P. Beier) .
He established the L'Aura Soave ensemble with whom he worked on the preparation of musical events during the Festival of theatre at Avignon ,the festival of Spoleto.
In 1996 he graduated with honours in Musicology from the Musical Palaeography and Philology School in Cremona ( University of Pavia) with a thesis on the concert preparation of the basso continuo in 17th century Italy.
He has been invited to appear at many national and international conferences.
